Floating on the Peñas Blancas River is a relaxing way to start your day. Your guide will help you spot the animals hiding in the trees and along the banks of the river. On the float you can peer into the branches to see how many monkeys and sloths you can count. You’ll also have the chance to see river turtles, crocodiles, and iguanas. This float lasts a little over two hours, and the water in this part of the river is quite calm.
After the float your tour will continue to a nearby chocolate plantation. Your guides will show you what chocolate looks like before it’s harvested, and explain how they transform raw cacao into a smooth treat. This tour includes a taste of some freshly prepared chocolate.
