This tour begins with zip lining. Professional guides set you up with equipment and provide instruction on how to position your body while flying across the zip lines. You’ll soar along two carbon fiber lines through the forest canopy that cover a total of 5,249 feet (1,600 m).
Once you reach the ground you’ll gear up to go inner tubing. The river here is fast and gorgeous, full of quick turns and midsize rapids. You’ll ride a 2.23-mile (3.6-km) route through the heart of the rainforest. Each person is given his or her own inner tube, life jacket, and helmet.
Transportation
Many of our tours and activities offer transportation pick up & drop off options from several locations and destinations. Options vary by tour, see “BOOKING REQUEST” for full details.
Traveler Comments
River drifting is definitely a thrill seeking adventure. Our guides Christian and Christian made us feel safe. They were immediately at our sides if our tubes flipped and helped us get back into the tubes safely as we journeyed down the river.
Amazing tour! The guides were fantastic and the experience was tremendous. The zip lines were top notch (carbon fiber lines, no steel), the descent was fun, and the river drift was great. All the transfers to and from worked perfectly.
Similar things to do
This two-part tour jumpstarts your morning with an adrenaline rush in a tropical rainforest canopy. To start your adventure, you’ll take a 20-minute gondola ride through the Arenal jungle. Then, you’ll climb to an observation deck in the treetops, where you’ll feel completely enveloped by the noisy, verdant rainforest.
For the finest, most unobstructed views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake, ride the Sky Tram up to the area's best observation deck. You'll then ride a series of 8 zip-lines to the base of the mountain.
