Latitude 10 Beach Resort is located in the small, lively town of Santa Teresa. Santa Teresa sits along the southwestern edge of the Nicoya Peninsula and enjoys wonderful surfing, beach combing, and fishing.
Once a small and unheard-of fishing village, Santa Teresa has grown into a popular tourist destination in recent years. With broad white-sand beaches, world-class surf, and the laidback atmosphere that the Nicoya Peninsula is known for, it’s no wonder why this town has become a hit. Though not bursting with activities, Santa Teresa nonetheless offers its guests the perfect combination of things to do – some are fast and exciting, while others are as leisurely as the sloth does move. Needless to say, the surf is awesome, and there are an abundance of surf-oriented services within town. Fishing tours, horseback rides and kite surfing can be enjoyed, as can health-conscious activities such as yoga, massage, and spa services. The town itself is stocked with banks, bars and restaurants, so guests will be sure to never go hungry or thirsty, or be without ready cash.
The Latitude 10 Beach Resort consists of five spacious, freestanding houses. Situated on seven acres of private beachfront property, these rental houses are a traveler’s dream come true. Tucked amongst tropical vegetation, each house is constructed from almond wood and decorated with native artwork. Designed by local architects, the houses incorporate the luxuries of the indoors with the beauty of the outdoors – bedroom walls fold away to reveal beach and forest views, open-air bathrooms allow for pleasant outdoor bathing, and porches equipped with hammocks and chairs provide a serene place to relax. Small, personal touches add individuality and warmth to the atmosphere—one house, for example, is adorned with half-cut coconuts that are filled with sand and tea lights. Houses are cleaned twice daily and come equipped with ceiling fans, safe deposit box, and a mini bar.
An intricate network of stone walkways carves paths from the residences to the clubhouse, an open-air ranchito that houses an infinity-edged swimming pool, lounge area, and bar. Dramatic sunsets can be enjoyed from here, as there are splendid views of the ocean, which is a mere 50 meters away. The nearby beach is private and pristine. It has white-sand and palm trees, and is arrayed with hammocks strung about for optimal beachside lounging. Guests are invited to use snorkels and boogie boards, or rent bikes to ride into town. Yoga classes, massages, and spa treatments are offered in Meridian, an open-air studio that overlooks the ocean.
Latitude 10 is dedicated to sustainability and conservation. Biodegradable cleaning products are used and recycling is encouraged. The resort supports the education of the local community in all matters green, and is committed to optimal water and energy management.

Everyone at this hotel was great friendly and anticipated all of our wants. Someone described it as luxurious camping!
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Friendly staff who made us feel welcome and safe. The food was delicious and the hotel was close to everything. The semi private beach was spectacular and I saw the nicest sunset I have even seen.
