The soaring ceilings and sweeping windows allow an abundance of natural light to illuminate the hand plastered walls of the Maison Marazul. Built by local craftsman with sustainable hardwoods, the owner designed furnishings provide a unique touch to this boutique villa. In addition to its irresistible beauty, the Maison Marazul is set on the northern edge of Santa Teresa where visitors can still experience the raw and untamed beauty of Costa Rica’s coastline. With fewer insects, lower humidity, and less development, this section of coastline is ideal for those looking to escape the drudgeries of the mainland.
Strolling out the front door, guests are greeted by a pristine white sand beach protected by an outer reef. This five mile long beach is great for sunset walks, running, and horseback riding. For surfers, the world famous Suck Rock point break is a short walk up the beach and beyond lies an endless beach break. At low tide, an abundance of tide pools invite guests to explore the local marine life.
Maison Marazul has teamed up with the neighboring Florblanca Hotel, a barefoot stroll down the beach, to provide access to the restaurant and bar, yoga classes ($10), fitness center, and Spa Bambu. A wide variety of other outdoor activities and tours are also available through the hotel.
