From jungle hikes to snorkelling, Manuel Antonio boasts plenty of ways to enjoy the region’s natural beauty. The namesake Manuel Antonio National Park keeps much of the land pristine, ensuring that both wildlife and travellers get to enjoy the scenery. Be as laidback or adventurous as you want — rise and shine for an early birdwatching tour, zip line through a forest canopy, or rappel down the Central Pacific’s largest waterfall…
So What Are Rappelling and Canyoning, Anyway?
Great question! Rappelling is similar to when you descend a wall after rock climbing. When you rappel, special extra thick ropes and other safety equipment allow you to jump from and glide down rock faces, waterfalls, and similar surfaces. So, on this tour, when you’re ‘canyoning or canyoneering’, you’re exploring a canyon via rappelling. In other words, you get to experience wet and rocky vertical surfaces quickly and with added safety as special equipment helps you take the adventurous route from point A to point B.
You’ll Love This Experience Because…
It’s 5 and 1/2-hours of pure adventure. Even your transportation is part safari ride! Between opportunities to spot wildlife, explore the jungle, and be dwarfed by majestic waterfalls, it’s hard to grow bored on this tour — never mind your primary adventure!
