Savegre River Rafting

On this tour you’ll experience the swift waters of Costa Rica’s powerful Savegre River. This river goes past waterfalls and canyons, as well as miles of preserved rainforest. These are Class III rapids, which are considered an intermediate level for rafters.

Savegre River Rafting

Manuel Antonio

Savegre River courses through an area of primary growth forest. “Primary growth” refers to the fact that this is area hasn’t been altered by humans. These forests have many layers of undergrowth and thick canopies. You’ll be moving quickly, but you still may get to glance some of the monkeys and sloths in the area.

As you near the end of the trip, you’ll get to pause at a waterfall that is surrounded by tropical plants. The waterfall forms natural swimming pools. You’ll take a break here to swim and admire the plants and animals that thrive in this Costa Rican wilderness.
