This privately owned hotel in Playa Brasilito is just a hop and skip from the sand. With a pool, garden, and in the care of capable hosts, you can have a charming stay in coastal Guanacaste.
Brasilito’s area offers respite from more crowded tourist destinations. (Flashy, famous Playa Flamingo is a 10-minute drive away, if you want to visit a more populated beach for the day) Brasilito’s own beach is sandy, quiet, and fit for lounging, swimming and snorkeling. Playa Brasilito is not an aesthetic marvel, but Playa Conchal is, and that’s a short walk away. Marino Las Baulas National Park is under 10 miles (15 km) away, where visitors can watch sea turtles crawl on land at night to lay their eggs.
A French family runs Quinta Esencia and takes good care of its guests. The property has a small but attractive pool large enough to cool the jets of several travelers. You can also take a lazy swing in a hammock if that’s how you prefer to unwind. Tropical plants fill in the garden on the property. Wireless Internet access is free.
The rooms at Quinta Esencia are outfitted tastefully and simply, in wood tones and cheerful linens. The walls sport light accents of art work. All rooms have a king-size bed. The rooms are air-conditioned; if you prefer a natural breeze, a terrace looks over the garden. Rooms contain a television, a minibar and a coffee maker. A private bathroom and shower allow you to freshen up after visiting Playa Conchal or Brasilito. Some rooms have a small nook with a table and chairs if you’d like to read a bit near the window or take a meal in your room.
