Experience Highlights
The Sarapiquí River passes through a variety of environments, including mountains, farmland, and wet tropical forest. Not surprisingly, the river and the surrounding area is home to a variety of creatures, some of which you may be able to see on this tour.
During the first part of this tour, you will board a comfortable boat and make your way down the river. Keep your eyes out for animals on land and in the water. You may be able to spot sloths, crocodiles, turtles, monkeys, iguanas, woodpeckers, toucans, and more. Have your binoculars and camera handy.
After this 2-hour river safari, you'll get off the boat and go for a 2.5-hour nature walk. Your tour guides will lead you along a trail that winds through humid tropical forest, and will teach you about the importance of the plants and animals that you encounter. After your hike, you will enjoy a delicious lunch buffet.
