Casa Yaquis 9
Casa Yaquis is a private apartment in Old Havana. From here you can walk to Old Havana’s waterfront to see some of the city’s most interesting cultural and historic attractions.
Casa Yaquis is close by Avenida del Puerto, which is a strip of Old Havana’s waterfront. As you walk west you’ll come arrive at the Malecón, the main area of the boardwalk that serves as a hub for socialization. Stroll the Malecón as you keep an ear out for live music performances. Along Avenida del Puerto you can see landmarks like the Chamber of Commerce, a large building with elaborate architecture that used to serve as Cuba’s stock exchange.
Casa Yaquis’ apartment building was built in 1942. On the inside you’ll find simple furnishings, including a sitting room and a small kitchen with a bar. The balcony overlooks the street. There are two air-conditioned bedrooms — the master has a bedroom a TV and a mini fridge, and the other room has a daybed and a loft bed. The house also comes with a safety deposit box.
Guests will also have access to a bathroom with hot and cold water. Your host can cook your breakfast if you’d prefer. They can also provide laundry service, and arrange for your taxis.
