Hiking in Panama

DESTINATION GUIDES

Panama’s hiking trails wind through forests, mountains, and coastal areas. Near the Panama Canal, travelers can walk along the flat trails of the Soberanía National Park and search for tropical bird species. Outside of Boquete there are trails skirting the base of the Barú Volcano and others that lead right to the top of it. In coastal areas like Bocas del Toro, you can hike through rainforests and pass by mangroves. These hiking attractions allow travelers of every age and ability the chance to get outside and explore Panama’s natural offerings.
