Punta Chame is located at the end of a thin peninsula along Panama’s Pacific coast, about 1.5 hours from Panama City. The peninsula curves towards the mainland and forms a bay that boasts the country’s most popular windsurfing spot. This is the main draw for most travelers to Punta Chame—you can head out into the bay and ride the wind and waves all day. Aside from that, Punta Chame has quiet beaches and good views of the ocean and mainland. There are very few services here.
Punta Chame is a perfect place for this kind of resort. There are four months of strong wind for kiteboarding, good waves for surfing, and plenty of sandy areas for ATVing.
The Nitro City Resort believes the world is a playground and that travel should be both active and fun. At Nitro City, travelers turn vacations into play-cations.
There are a seemingly unlimited number of ways to have fun here. On land, you can go dirt biking, ATVing, mountain biking, skateboarding, or paint balling. In the water, you can try kiteboarding, wakeboarding, stand up paddleboarding, tubing, jet skiing, or scuba diving. There are professionals on hand to help travelers learn each of these sports.
In addition to these exciting options are more leisurely opportunities, including beach volleyball, corn hole, ping-pong, pool table, air hockey, soccer, and an arcade. It is literally impossible to get bored at this resort.
After all this activity, you’re likely to build up a powerful appetite. The Pit Stop Restaurant offers an array of meals, including both healthy and less-healthy (but very tasty) options. There is everything from shrimp ceviche and Mediterranean salads to Pad Thai and pizza. The hotel’s bar is well equipped to provide you with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You might sip a piña colada at the pool or refuel with freshly squeezed juice in the evening. The bar has a constant stream of sports playing on their TVs.
