IncludedDiscover the magic of Chile’s Elqui Valley on a family-friendly adventure full of color, culture, and fun! Kids will enjoy exploring charming towns, learning about local traditions, and seeing how solar kitchens work, while parents take in stunning valley views and vineyards. Visit Gabriela Mistral’s hometown, taste delicious pisco, and end the day under the stars at a professional observatory. A perfect blend of nature, culture, and hands-on experiences for children and adults alike!
The Elqui Valley is one of the main valleys of the Coquimbo Region, a destination with unique landscapes and a privileged climate. We will begin in Vicuña by visiting its Main Square and the city's emblematic buildings. After touring the city, we will stop in Villaseca, the epicenter of solar kitchens, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. We will continue along the valley, stopping at the Cerro Pachón viewpoint, which impresses with its views of the semi-arid desert contrasted with the green mantles of vineyards and crops. We will follow the route to Montegrande, a small town where we will learn about the life and work of Gabriela Mistral. We will visit a pisco distillery and taste this wonderful ancestral spirit before heading to the town of Pisco Elqui. As the afternoon comes to an end, we will return to Vicuña to enjoy a delicious dinner and then get ready to visit an astronomical center, where we will observe the celestial vault in all its splendor with professional telescopes. Once the visit to the observatory is over, we will return to the hotel.
