Salt Cathedral and City Tour

Embark on a captivating day tour that begins with an early hotel pickup at 07:00 am, taking you north of Bogotá to explore the remarkable Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá. After a morning of awe-inspiring sights, enjoy a delightful regional lunch before continuing to Monserrate hill for stunning city views.

The day will start early with a pickup from your hotel at 07:00 am. Once everyone is on board, we will head north of Bogotá to the charming town of Zipaquirá, renowned for housing one of Colombia's architectural wonders: the Salt Cathedral. This impressive underground structure is unique, built within active salt mines. During our tour through the mine's tunnels, you'll discover religious art sculptures carved directly out of salt and marble. We will explore the various stations of the Via Crucis, leading you through a profound spiritual and artistic experience, culminating with the view of the central dome and its monumental 15-meter-high cross.

After visiting the Cathedral, a delicious typical regional lunch awaits. This will be the perfect moment to enjoy local cuisine and recharge for the second part of the day.

Next, we will continue our city tour by heading to Monserrate hill. This iconic site offers not only a cable car ride with spectacular views but also a unique opportunity to see Bogotá from its highest point. At the summit, you'll have free time to walk around, visit the church, shop at small local craft stores, or simply enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Colombian capital.

Then, we'll descend the mountain and head towards the heart of Bogotá: the historic center. Here, we will walk along cobbled streets to Bolívar Square, where some of the city's most significant and ancient buildings are located, including the National Capitol, the Primatial Cathedral, the Palace of Justice, and the Liévano Palace. You will have the chance to admire the colonial architecture that envelops this historic place and feel the vibrant atmosphere of the capital.

Finally, after a day full of adventures and cultural discoveries, we will take you back to your hotel so you can rest and reflect on the wonders you have experienced. This tour not only allows you to visit iconic places in Colombia but also offers a deep immersion into the culture and history that defines this beautiful country.
