Hot springs are far from uncommon in this region, however Termas Geometricas is a standout going well beyond what you can expect at most other establishments. The ambience is nothing short of magical and the pace is languid. Painted red wooden boardwalks take you easily from pool to pool and visually contrast with the bright natural greens that abound throughout the streams. Steam rises from beneath the boardwalks, smelling slightly of sulfur, creating an otherworldly feel.

When you find yourself too hot to sit another minute, cool down under the cold fresh water from one of the natural showers, or be brave and submerge yourself entirely in one of the 9° Celsius cold plunges, complete with natural waterfall. Or, take a break from the steam and enjoy one of the thin crust pizzas or simple but delicious soups on offer at the cafertería. In the winter, snow lines the canyon walls and with the fugón (indoor firepit) burning away, the inside of the lodge is the perfect way to find your way back to equilibrium before taking another plunge into the healing waters.

You can drive there yourself (though the last few miles are on a dusty gravel road) or there are plenty of tour options leaving from both Pucón and Villarrica. There is simply no way to be stressed while enjoying Termas Geometricas, the water is too silky and the environment too placid. So enjoy the sunlight and feel your muscles unclench in the warm water. Tranquility takes over and all you have to do is float and soak.
