Goff's Caye
Frequented by cruise ship passengers and day-trippers from Belize City and Caye Caulker, Goff’s Caye is a tiny palm-covered island about 30 minutes off the coast of Belize City. Islands like Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker offer a fun beach scene, but Goff’s Caye allows you to truly sink in to the Belizean Caribbean without any distraction, on an excursion with just a few other visitors. It’s right near the Belize Barrier Reef, giving you the chance to observe a bit of marine wildlife on a snorkeling excursion.

Half Moon Caye is a 45-acre (18-ha) crescent-shaped island at the southern tip of Lighthouse Reef Atoll, an hour and a half off the coast of Belize City. Home to iguanas, red footed boobies, and a beautiful fringing reef, this area was set aside in 1981 as one of Belize’s first established nature reserves.

Love the options— the hotels were spectacular. I enjoyed having a non-event day to hang out at pool and wall into town to see local events. Drivers were coordinated well, and they served well as tour guides. This country is beautiful, the people are so kind and generous.
