If you like jungles, moving water, and good places to swim, you’ll be excited about these attractions. Guatemala has an assortment of waterfalls, and many are excellent places to spend a day. There’s the Chilascó Waterfall, one of the largest waterfalls in Central America, or the falls at Semuc Champey, which are small and form several pools that are perfect for swimming. These attractions are very photogenic and have lovely outdoor scenery.

Siete Altares
3 miles (5 km) northwest of Lívingston are the freshwater falls and pools of Los Siete Altares. The seven waterfalls and natural fresh water pools, are set within a lush rainforest and are a pleasant place to spend the afternoon.
Fuentes Georginas Hot Springs
These gorgeous springs offer thermally heated pools just outside of the Zuníl Volcano. Two journalists happened upon this spot in 1902, and it’s gradually grown into one of Guatemala’s top destinations for relaxation. The water here isn't too hot, but pleasantly warm and rich with minerals. Besides the pools, visitors can also explore an ecological park and a cave used by the Maya for religious rituals.
Chilasco Waterfall
The Chilascó Waterfall, also known as “El Salto de Chilascó,” is one of Central America’s tallest waterfalls. Tucked within the Sierra de las Minas Biosphere Reserve, this waterfall crashes through a thick section of the jungle.

Heart of The Mayan World
I would warn them about the deceptive practices of Casa Azul though about the stocking and charges of the alcohol in the fridge. No warning at check in. No signage on fridge. Not locked. No tally sheet. No warning or heads up by Anywhere. I have never had to pay for alcohol before. ($92. U.S.) There was a store a few doors away. My only complaint about this hotel. I would stay there again. I just wouldn't be tricked twice.

We Dreamt. Then We Went.
When we told our family and friend that we were going to Guatemala, their first impression was your kidding. The country is not safe. Let me say we had a fantastic time from beginning to end of our trip. Guatemala has a lot to present and the country has a lot of history and the people are wonderful. I would come back again. In general I would say we had no issues with the Itinerary and the drivers of Anywhere were very professional and most of all kept us safe where ever we went. The hotels that we stayed were very nice and in safe location.
