Step into a dreamlike world as night falls over the Uyuni Salt Flats, where the sky becomes a mirror of the universe. Far from city lights, the world’s largest salt desert offers one of the clearest views of the Milky Way and countless constellations shimmering above and beneath your feet. Whether in the dry season, with its endless crystalline surface, or during the wet season, when the water transforms the flats into a giant natural mirror, the experience is nothing short of magical. Guided by experts, you’ll enjoy a surreal night of silence, wonder, and unforgettable celestial beauty.

Pick up from the hotel and drive to the shores of the Salt Lake. Considered to be one greatest spot to watch the stars in the entire world, the Salt Flats offers an amazing view of the Milky Way, being one of the few desert areas in South America allows a night sky free of light pollution and with the perfect conditions to take long shoot pictures, therefore the images you can take in this location are unique. While you enjoy this spectacle, we offer you a hot beverage to beat the cold. Return to the hotel

Pro Tips for Stargazing in Uyuni

  • Best Moon Phase: Go during the new moon for the darkest skies and most visible stars.

  • Best Time of Year:

    • Dry season (April–November): Clear skies, crisp air, perfect for sharp star visibility.
    • Rainy season (December–March): When water covers the flats, the mirror effect doubles the stars, making the sky and ground blend into infinity.
  • Stay Late: Peak stargazing hours are usually between 10 PM – 2 AM, when the skies are darkest.

  • Bring Patience: The Salar is remote and silent—let your eyes adjust, and you’ll see far more.
