Guaro’s House
Guaro’s House is an independent one-bedroom apartment. This cozy casa particular has an excellent view of the Havana waterfront.
This house is in the Playa municipality. “Playa” means beach in English, and there are designated swimming areas along Playa’s Primera Avenida (First Avenue). Walk along Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) to see Havana’s embassies. Playa is also home to the marina where Hemingway used to keep his boat. When you’re ready to stretch your legs and get some exercise, head to Almendares Park or Metropolitan Park. These popular city parks have nice walking paths and play areas for children.
Guaro’s House is large enough for three people. It has a simple and spacious bedroom that’s large enough for two people, as well as a sofa bed in the living room. In the main bedroom you’ll find a TV as well as a small sitting area. In the casa’s private bathroom you’ll have access to hot and cold water.
Built in 1956, the house is simply decorated and gets lots of good natural light. It also has a large balcony facing the sea, and you can admire the view from comfortable patio furniture. Guests will be provided with their own set of keys. The owners do not live with guests, but they guarantee that the bed linen and towels get changed every 48 hours.
