How much of Panama's energy comes from renewable sources?
Panama has traditionally relied on hydroelectric and thermal sources for energy. 48.4 percent of Panama’s energy comes from hydro sources, while 51.6 percent comes from thermal (fossil fuel) sources. The government is making plans to utilize other resources, such as wind, solar and geothermal, which currently make up very little of the total energy production of Panama.
