Visit Museo del Ron (the Museum of Rum) with a professional guide. This tour culminates with a tasting of Havana Club, which is one of Cuba’s most well known rums, and it is ideal for making classic Cuban cocktails like mojitos and daiquiris.

You can also walk to some of the following iconic Havana bars if your accommodations are relatively close by the Museo del Ron. (You can take a car if they’re farther away, but transportation costs extra.) These bars rose to international fame during the Prohibition era in the U.S. On your tour you’ll follow in the footsteps of some of Havana’s most glamorous visitors from the 1930s.

Sloppy Joe’s is a historic haunt that was recently restored and reopened. At Hotel Ambos Mundos you can order classic Cuban cocktails on the rooftop bar, and see the room where Hemingway stayed in the 1930s.

During the tour you’ll probably hear Hemingway’s famous quote “My mojito en La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita.” La Bodeguita and Flordita are both stops on the tour, and you can decide if you agree with the famous author’s assessment of their specialty cocktails.
