Vinales Expedition

In the mountain range called Sierra de los Órganos you can visit the Viñales Valley. UNESCO declared this area a World Heritage Site because of its singular landscape, which is dotted with limestone formations called mogotes. This tour comes with a guide and transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Viñales

Tobacco farms in the Viñales Valley use traditional farming methods that have existed in this valley for hundreds of years. If you are departing from Havana you’ll stop at the Barrigonas Ranch, which is a tobacco farm that grows some of the world’s finest tobacco.

During your tour you’ll hop in a boat to go see the wet cave of Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave). Indigenous people used to live in this cave. Now it has electric lights that illuminate the cave’s strange formations.

On your trip you’ll also stop at the Dos Hermanas Valley and look at the prehistoric mural – this colorful depiction of two human figures is 393 feet (120 m) high and 590 feet (180 m) wide. In this area you’ll also be able to see the mogotes.
