Do I Need An Adapter For my electronics?
Bali and Indonesia use the round, two-pin, CEE7 socket and plug that is common in Europe. The standard voltage is 230 volts / 50 Hz, with type C/F power sockets. If you come from Australia, USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, or certain African countries, you may require a simple plug adapter. These can be easily purchased in Bali at grocery or hardware stores or obtained from your hotel.
Most device chargers will automatically handle the higher voltage. If you bring electronics, be sure to check the voltage required before you travel. Some items may require you to bring a step-down power transformer to 110 V. If you are plugging in a computer or expensive electronics, a surge suppressor is recommended to protect from voltage fluctuations common in Bali.
