Myanmar has an intense, tropical climate. Weather in Myanmar is generally either hot and steamy or rainy. The weather is dry from November until March and then gets very hot from March until May. You can escape the heat in the Eastern Highlands.

The rainy season lasts from May to October, and the rain is heaviest from July to September. Myanmar's coasts also has two cyclone seasons — from mid-April to mid-May, and then again from October to November.
