IncludedThe Azuero Peninsula is considered the cultural heartland of Panama. This tour explores the traditions and folklore of the Azuero Peninsula.
The Azuero Peninsula has more crafts and artisans than anywhere else in Panama. During this tour, you’ll witness some of the best.
The tour begins with a visit to a pollera maker. Polleras are handmade skirts that are used in traditional Panamanian festivities. Polleras are embroidered with geometric designs, flowers, and animals. The artisan we visit has made polleras throughout most of her life.
Afterwards, you’ll visit the studios of other local artisans, including some who make colorful devil masks, drums, and gold ornaments. These goods are part of traditional Panamanian culture and frequently used in festivals.
This tour lasts four hours. There is a four-person minimum.
