You can also see canoe carving and monasteries that hover above the surface of the lake on stilts. While you’re staying near Inle Lake, you can take a day trip to see the Pindaya Cave, an important Buddhist monument that worshippers have filled with statues of Buddhas. This cave is approximately two hours north of the hotel.
