It’s a short drive from the hotel to one of Nyaung Shwe’s most beautiful religious sites — the Shwe Yaunghwe Kyaung temple. This temple has a wall of small niches, each with its own miniature Buddha. Drive 20 minutes south of the hotel to Inle Lake, where you can explore lakeside villages and marketplaces. This lake is also famous for its fishermen, who still use the traditional longboats to navigate the placid waters. Take a longer trip north of the hotel to see Pindaya Cave, which has a network of caverns filled with statues of Buddha.
From the hotel, you can walk to a nice variety of restaurants. Guests can also help themselves to a complimentary breakfast or request a traditional Burmese breakfast. The hotel restaurant serves Burmese and western dishes.
