Las Lajas Beach Resort

Las Lajas is one of the most popular beaches in the region. It is easily accessible from David or the Inter-American Highway, and as such sees large numbers of domestic beachgoers. Aside from lounging along the wide, grey-sand beach or swimming in the ocean, visitors to this area can ride horses, fish, and surf.

The Las Lajas Beach Resort is hospitable and attractive. The hotel is decorated with bright colors and cheerful touches, and is equipped with comfortable accommodations. There are twelve ground floor rooms available. The rooms have tile floors and sliding glass windows that let in natural light. Murals are painted onto the walls depicting tropical scenes and animals. Every room on the ground floor has two queen-size beds and one single bed, as well as a private hot water bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and in-room safe. Additionally, these rooms come stocked with a cable TV and wireless Internet access.

There are two suites on the second floor of the hotel. The suites are larger and nicer than the ground floor rooms and include many of the same amenities. In addition, the suites have a king-size bed, mini fridge, and a shared balcony looking over the ocean. The balcony is stocked with hammocks and chairs and is a pleasant place to relax.

There is a large pool for guests to swim in. The pool has a small waterfall and lights that change color at night. Near the pool is an open-air restaurant/bar that overlooks the beach. The restaurant has a seasonally changing menu that features American food, Panamanian fare and international cuisine, as well as daily specials. The bar has an extensive selection of beer, wine, and liquor. The hotel also has its own palm-covered ranchos that offer guests a shady spot to relax along the beach.
