Menjangan Island Dive for Beginners

Mejangan Island is an incredible destination for diving trips, allowing you to swim with sea turtles and manta rays. On this dive, you’ll also get to see what Australians call a “bommie” – an outcropping of coral that juts up from the main reef. This tour is excellent for beginners and those without a certification, since a guide will be there every step of the way.

Your scuba guide will also show you to a reef wall as well as a steep drop. You’ll be diving in an area where you’ll typically have visibility of 100 feet (30 m) to 65 feet (20 m), and you’ll have the chance to see white-tipped sharks and whale sharks. This depth isn’t too challenging, so you can feel confident as you explore the coral terrain. There are two dive sites included in the tour, with time for you to rest on the boat between dives.
