What Adventure Activities Are There in Bali?
Bali has many kinds of adventure activities on land and sea. You can find tours that are suitable for travelers with some experience, as well as lessons tailored to beginners. Plenty of these activities are perfect for people who have no experience but just want to have some fun.
The surfing in Bali is considered some of the world’s best, with waves for all skill levels. Famous breaks are located on the Bukit Peninsula. Kite surfing is popular on the east coast. Diving and snorkeling spots can be found at Nusa Penida, Lembongan, Tulamben, and around Menjangan Island in West Bali National Park. The watersports hotspot Tanjung Benoa offers wakeboarding, jet-skis, water jet packs, undersea walks, and inflatable banana boat and flying fish rides.
Travelers can find adventure activities just north of Ubud. Greet the sunrise when volcano trekking on Mount Batur and Mount Agung. Mountain biking tours peel down the slopes of Batur through villages and forest single track, or through scenic rice fields. If you prefer motorized exploration, there are ATV tours through the jungle surrounding Payangan village, or wilderness dirt bike tours in a variety of locations around the island.
There’s white water rafting on the Ayung River and Telaga Waja outside Ubud, or waterslide-like canyon tubing on the Siap River near Payangan. Go trekking in West Bali National Park for an authentic jungle experience.
