The 7-acre (3-ha) Dos Jefes Organic Coffee Farm is located in the highlands of Boquete. Each tour of Dos Jefes (which means “Two Bosses” in Spanish) is kept small to ensure an in-depth, hands-on experience. As you walk through the coffee fields, you’ll learn about organic farming and the growing process. Feel free to take pictures and ask your guide questions.

After you tour the fields you’ll visit the roasting house and sample roasts. Once you’ve determined your favorite, you’ll help roast the beans and make a custom bag of coffee. You’ll watch the roaster spin and smell the beans roasting—a truly unique experience. Finally, you’ll learn about the marketing and distribution of Dos Jefe’s coffee.

This tour has a 1-person minimum and 12-person maximum. There are both morning and afternoon tours available. The tour lasts 2 to 3 hours.

Traveler Comments

We did a tour with a small group of people and the guide was gorgeous. She explained all the process of coffee from the seeds in the trees to your cup. It was fantastic.
