Experience Highlights

Yoga

After a soothing yoga class, your guide will show you to a trailhead for an easy hike. This tour includes a stop for lunch at a restaurant called Sari Organik, which has a dining room that overlooks the beautiful patchwork of rice fields. The menu here emphasizes fresh ingredients, with lots of smoothies, salads, and good options for vegetarians and vegans.

Walking through the rice field leads will lead you to the Pyramids of Chi, which are designed to resemble contemporary, Balinese versions of the Pyramids of Giza. They’re called the Temples of the Sun and Moon, and their design takes into account principles like the golden ratio, which is thought to make the space more harmonious. Inside, you’ll lie down on mats and soft pillows as healers begin the “sound healing” ritual. Healers ring gongs and blow softly on horns, allowing the sonorous notes to hang in the air. This intense sensory experience creates the ideal space for entering a meditative state, or simply allowing the sounds and smells of incense wash over you as you allow your thoughts to wander.

Afterward, you’ll most likely feel deeply relaxed. It’s not uncommon to feel profoundly refreshed, as though waking up from a long sleep. The healers recommend that you take the rest of the day to enjoy the dreamy sensations, and let others take care of practical matters like transportation and meal preparation.
