A big family reunion trip…
We were a huge family group of 12 with two younger kids traveling to Panama for the ultimate family reunion trip. We chose Gamboa and Panama City, hoping to get some adventure time in while experiencing the slower pace of the city. The national park in Gamboa has some amazing nature trails. We also took the aerial tram tour which the kids enjoyed very much. Our rooms at Gamboa Rainforest Resort were amazing, and the views unforgettable.
We cruised through the Panama Canal…
The highlight of the trip was looking at the Panama Canal. It was definitely worth seeing. Unless you experience it on the boat you won't really fully understand the amazing engineering of the canal. We took the boat tour that takes us through the canal and all the other transportation utilizing this route. I’d also recommend the San Blas Islands 1-day Tour. The San Blas Islands were amazing, beautiful, unique and definitely worth experiencing. We visited the indigenous groups and had a glimpse into their local culture.
