
Balinese Herb Class and Nature Walk
Take a 3-hour guided walk to learn more about the medicinal use of herbs in Balinese culture, followed by a lesson on how to make some of these concoctions yourself. Your guide will show you which herbs go into the local’s authentic beauty treatments and health-giving drinks.

After the walk, refresh yourself with a sip of fresh coconut juice, from a coconut that’s been cracked open right in front of you. Then, you’ll use natural ingredients to make useful potions like hair conditioner, body scrub, face masks, moisturizers, and even sunscreen. You get to keep what you make, as well as the recipes for these beauty treatments so you can recreate them at home. Your instructor will also give you a recipe for a blend of herbs and spices called Djamoe that’s supposed to have an especially rejuvenating effect.
