History, Culture, and Exploring Nature
This is our first time to Cuba and everything went seamlessly. We learned and saw so much! We really appreciate all the help we got and couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Hoping for an authentic Cuban experience…
My partner and I had been thinking about visiting Cuba for a long time. On this vacation, we wanted to immerse ourselves in local culture and experience the classical vibes from the city itself. Not only did we visit Old Havana, but we also got to see Trinidad and Cienfuegos, the more rustic side of Cuba.
The perfect balance in a trip…
At Havana Vieja, we stayed at Casa Suite Habana 62. It was better than we could have imagined! It was great having so much space and the location was perfect. We had a great time exploring the city! It was a good place to start our trip, as we had a packed schedule in the beginning, soaking everything up and then spent more time relaxing later on at the cities to follow.
Memorable days in Trinidad…
Two days in the city of Trinidad was perfect! We got a good balance of the city, the beach, and the sugar mills. Everyone was very kind and helpful on our journey! Having the driver scheduled ahead of time through Anywhere took out any stress or planning on our part. The ride to Trinidad was 1.5 hours later than it was supposed to be, but the driver still managed to get us to our destination on time before our next event!
Places you'll stay
Old Havana (Havana Vieja)
Spanish conquistadors started building Havana in 1519. The city became an important port in the second half of the 16th century. Over the years the old section of Havana has become an important showcase of Moorish, baroque, neoclassical, and art nouveau architecture. Each plaza and neighborhood of Old Havana has a distinct look and personality.
Trinidad
Trinidad is a charming, colonial city in central Cuba. Its cobblestone streets, historic houses, and lively atmosphere help make it a top destination in Cuba.
Cienfuegos
Cienfuegos is a midsized town set along the south-central coast of Cuba. It has a pleasant colonial center, and French-styled boulevards that are perfect for strolling.
Havana
Havana is a beautiful and captivating city. It’s home to the country’s most thriving cultural, culinary, and artistic scenes, and is a fascinating intersection between Spanish colonialism and Cuban Communism. The people here are friendly and welcoming, and it’s easy to spend an entire week strolling its streets, visiting museums, and listening to live music.
