Panama is a lovely country. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing pace and the beautiful environment of Isla Bastimentos. This tropical getaway is just what we needed in our busy schedule.
The tropical getaway we didn’t know we needed…
My partner and I spent a lovely 8-days traveling to Panama, visiting the bustling Panama City and the relaxing Isla Bastimentos. Transportation and every excursion was perfect and easy. We loved *all* the hotels that Anywhere chose for us — at Isla Bastimentos, we stayed at the charming bungalows of Eclypse de Mar. It felt amazing to step out of our room and see the waterline immediately!
The highlight of our trip…
The Bocas Del Toro sailing tour was super fun. We got to see some dolphins during the sail! The only slight confusion we had was the location to meet the sailing tour. Marcel ended up having us meet in the park, not the location specified on the itinerary, but everyone in Panama was so nice that they helped us find him. We got to snorkel and enjoy the water for a bit!

Isla Bastimentos
Located in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, Isla Bastimentos is a sprawling 52 km island that is only a ten-minute boat ride from Isla Colón. The highlights of Isla Bastimentos are vast, ranging from the world-class snorkeling opportunities in Parque Nacional Marino Isla Bastimentos to the chilled-out beaches on the north side of the island.
Bocas Town
Bocas town is a bohemian, waterfront town on Isla Colón. It's the largest and funkiest town in the Bocas del Toro archipelago and is visited by travelers from all over the world. Hotels, restaurants, gourmet grocery stores and other tourist facilities crowd the small town, making it one of the most popular places in all of Panama.

Dolphin Bay
Dolphin Bay is a lagoon in Bocas del Toro that hosts bottlenose dolphins throughout much of the year. Boat tours of the islands often stop here.
