Arequipa is an attractive town in southern Peru. Many of the buildings here, including those in the Plaza de Armas, were built from sillar, a type of white volcanic stone that shimmers in the sunlight. The town has a number of old colonial structures to visit, including convents and churches, and all kinds of tasty food to try out. There are volcanoes to hike just outside town, as well as some high-deserts and canyons that can be explored.
Posadas del Inca Arequipa is privileged with one of the best locations in Arequipa. The hotel is set right on the Plaza de Armas, providing guests with immediate access to some of the city’s most delightful sights, restaurants, and shops.
The hotel’s 58 rooms are spacious and non-smoking. All rooms enjoy comfortable amenities, including air conditioning, direct-dial telephone (for domestic and international calls), and a safety deposit box. There is a cable TV to provide diversion during downtime, and a mini bar for storing drinks and food. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hot water shower and bathroom telephone; hair dryers can be supplied upon request. A few rooms have private terraces that extend over the main square, while others have windows that look into the hotel’s interior courtyard.
The onsite Inkafé Restaurant has a varied menu that combines well-known regional recipes with classic international dishes. The restaurant has an agreeable environment, superb service, and an unbeatable view from the terrace. It’s an ideal place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just hangout and enjoy a few cocktails. The restaurant is open from 6:30 AM to 11 PM. Room service is available.
The hotel’s rooftop terrace overlooks the Plaza de Armas and also has views of distant volcanoes. There is a small pool up here where guests can cool off and lounge chairs to relax in. Needless to say, the terrace is very pleasant.
Wi-Fi is offered throughout the hotel and there is also a business center where guests can get online or print documents. If you’ll be traveling to Arequipa on business or are hoping to host an event, you can use the hotel’s conference room, which can hold up to 150 people.
Other services of Posadas del Inca Arequipa include luggage storage, laundry service, medical assistance, and currency exchange. They can also help with transfers to and from the airport, which is located just outside town.
