The Vistadome is a perfect train for travelers who want to look out and appreciate the surrounding landscape as they make their way towards Machu Picchu. The train has large windows on both the sides of the train and the ceiling that offer incomparable views. You'll see large mountains and small villages as you ride the rails, and feel much more connected to the landscape than in a traditional train.
The train's staff provides personalized, high-class service to travelers. The Vistadome has air conditioning and heating, as well as leather seats that are extremely comfortable. During the trip, you may also be entertained with music and traditional dancing.
This train departs from the Poray station, which is about 20 minutes from downtown Cusco. The journey to Machu Picchu lasts just over three hours. The final stop is in Aguas Calientes, the closest town to Machu Picchu. Travelers can easily combine this train ride with tours of Machu Picchu.
