Discover Scuba Diving in Lima

You’ll leave from the diving school in Miraflores on a 1-hour drive to Pucusana, a fishing village right outside of Lima. Once you arrive at the beach, you can visit the changing room to suit up for your diving lesson. Then, you’ll hop on a 12-person boat and take a 20-minute ride to the dive site.

Your experience begins with an overview of the equipment. After that, you’ll hop in the water to practice the basic moves. Once you feel comfortable, you can start practicing diving up to a depth of 32 feet (10 m). Before you return, you’ll have a picnic of sandwiches, fruit, and cookies on the boat. Then, you’ll head back to shore to change and begin your return journey.

Please note: Participants must be over 10 years of age. You cannot take this tour if you plan on traveling by plane during the following 24 hours.

Prepare for the tour by avoiding excessive drinking the night before and eating only a light breakfast. You may wish to take anti-dizziness medication an hour before the start of the tour. Disclose any health conditions you have before signing up for the tour—you may be required to bring a doctor's note.

Sunscreen, swimwear, sunglasses, towel, and a change of clothes.
