You can travel across the lake in a boat that’s shaped like a dragon. Visit Taquile Island to see the distinct textiles that local make — men here are known for their colorful, knitted caps. Go a little ways off the beaten path to nearby Lake Umayo, where you can see the tombs of Sillustani, a historically significant burial site right on the edge of the lake.
