Are there tourist taxes in Peru?
There is a US$30 tax when you leave the country by air, although this is almost always included in the price of a flight. There is also a US$6 tax on domestic flights. There is a 10 percent tax at hotels, but we include this in our hotel rates. At restaurants, a service tax of 5 to 10 percent is added. Finally, the sales tax in Peru is 18 percent.
