Kuntur Wasi fue uno de los centros ceremoniales más importantes en la sierra norte del Perú. Este tour explora las ruinas y el museo en este sitio increíble.

En 1989, un grupo de arqueólogos japoneses descubrieron el oro forjado más antiguo en América (aproximadamente 2.800 años) en Kuntur Wasi. Una serie de otros artefactos posteriormente fueron encontrados aquí, incluyendo coronas, máscaras, cerámica, coraza de tórax, aretes y joyas de piedra. Estos confirmaron que se trataba de un centro ceremonial importante durante el Período Formativo del Perú (2,500-50 A.C). Las excavaciones posteriores también revelaron la arquitectura ceremonial, incluyendo plazas, escaleras y paredes. El museo muestra alrededor de 200 objetos, entre ellos una corona impresionante con 14 caras humanas.
