Amboseli National Park
The Amboseli National Parks, crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa's highest peak), is one of Kenya's most recognizable parks. It is one of Africa's most popular parks to see large elephant herds close up. The Maasai word "Amboseli", which means "salt dust", gave it its name. Five habitats are available for nature lovers: the dry-up lake bed at Lake Amboseli; wetlands with sulfur springs; the savannah, woodlands and savannah. You can also visit the Maasai community that lives around the park to experience their authentic culture.
