Miraflores is one of Lima’s most modern and upscale neighborhoods. It has some of the city’s top restaurants and shops, as well as a few good pubs. For history, visit Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pyramid built by the Lima culture sometime between A.D. 200–700. Outside the city, travelers can go mountain biking, bird watching, horseback riding, and even paragliding.
El Tambo One is located just two blocks from the main avenue in Miraflores and four blocks from the Larcomar shopping center; the Pacific Ocean is also a short walk away. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and safe. Needless to say, this is a stellar location.
El Tambo has a simple, minimalist design. The hotel consists of three buildings that are connected on the ground floor. Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout the hotel, and there is a small business center where you can use computers to get online. What’s more, the staff here is friendly and helpful—they’ll give you a map highlighting the main sights in Miraflores, and suggest places to eat, drink, and shop.
The rooms here are basic, clean, and comfortable. The rooms are reasonably sized, and have a private bathroom with a hot water shower and hair dryer. Store your valuables in the safety deposit box and watch TV on a flat-screen cable TV. Some rooms have a small sitting area with a table and chairs.
Each morning a plentiful breakfast is served to guests. Breakfast options include scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cereal, rolls, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and more. The restaurant adjoins a pleasant outdoor area where you can eat if the weather allows. Lunch and dinner are also served at the restaurant, and there is a bar that offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
El Tambo One also offers currency exchange, laundry service, and luggage storage. Guests that want to host parties or meetings can do so in the hotel’s event room.
staff was great. Breakfast was perfect. My wife said they had the best eggs she'd ever had.
This was our second night at El Tambo I -- I had made a personal reservation for the first night we arrived in Lima. The room we had through your Anywhere's reservation was larger and very comfortable. We were wishing we had more time to stay to enjoy both the room and Lima. The staff was great -- having taken care of our luggage while we traveled to Cusco, providing breakfast, and helped us with computer use to confirm our flight reservations. We would recommend El Tambo I to other travelers.
Good hotel, clean with helpful staff. Good location. Met expectations.
