El recorrido inicia en "Hacienda del Chalán", dirigiéndose hasta el Río donde se cruza en Vilcanota a través de un puente de suspensión. La siguiente parte del camino va al costado del río, cruzando un área de bosque nativo donde se aprecia uno de los cementerios Inca más grandes.
Pasando por el corazón de la aldea de Yanahuara a través de maizales, cabalgando hasta alcanzar la otra parte del río cruzando nuevamente por un puente de suspensión en Paucarbamba para finalmente regresar a la Hacienda del Chalán.
