Puno is the most sizeable city along the shores of Lake Titicaca. It’s not the top tourist destination around the lake, but it does have some interesting attractions and tasty restaurants for travelers to try out. Explore the central area of Puno and visit a 17th-century cathedral or the pedestrian walking street, which is lined with restaurants and cafés. Puno also hosts a number of colorful festivals each year, and if you’re around during any of them you should definitely plan to stop by.
Hotel Hacienda Puno is a midrange hotel in central Puno. Puno’s shopping street is close by, and it only takes a few minutes to walk to restaurants and stores from the hotel.
