This tour takes place in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, which was established to protect the endangered jaguar. It is one of the few places left in the world where there is a stable population of jaguars.

It’s rare to see a jaguar, but during your hike you’ll have the chance to see a lot of other local wildlife, including tropical birds. Along the way, your naturalist guide will tell you the uses of medicinal plants. Eventually, the trail will lead to a waterfall and a natural pool where you can swim or float in an inner tube.

What to Bring

Bathing suit, comfortable hiking shoes (or closed toed water shoes), camera, water, bug spray, sunscreen, and a light rain jacket.

What's included

Guided tour and a picnic lunch.
