This is a relaxing tour that introduces you to some of Belize’s most scenic spots. You’ll learn quite a bit about jungle plants and the radiant birds of the Macal rainforest. Choose from tours that begin at either 8:00 AM or 1:00 PM, and keep in mind that the tour lasts from 2.5 to three hours.

Your tour will begin with a short drive to the duPlooys Belize Botanical Garden. There, you’ll have a guided tour of this 45-acre (18-ha) garden that sits right on the banks of the Macal River. It’s best known for its massive collection of palms and an orchid exhibit that features 100 species.

Next, you’ll don a lifejacket and hop into an inner tube for the floating portion of the tour. This is a self-guided tour where you’ll be able to observe wildlife at your own pace. Bring a waterproof camera and see what creatures you can capture in their natural habitat!
