Can I Have My Wedding In Belize?
Belize provides a gorgeous natural backdrop for a destination wedding. To make your marriage legal, you must have been in Belize for at least three days prior to the ceremony, have proof of citizenship from your country of origin (such as your passport), and select two witnesses, who may be provided by your ceremony venue.
Marriage license applications must be made with the Registrar General’s Office in Belize City. If one of the marrying partners is divorced or a widow/er, a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate is required.
