Hotel Emancipador

Paracas is a beach town set along the southern coast of Peru. It’s a mellow place without large crowds of tourists. The main draw of this area is the Paracas National Reserve and Ballestas Islands. The reserve is a fun place to explore and has some interesting geological features, including the Cathedral and Red Beach. For a marine adventure, take a boat out to the Ballestas Islands and see a range of animals, including sea lions, seals, and thousands of birds.

Hotel Emancipator is close to the coast in Paracas. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beachfront and is the same distance from many nearby restaurants.

The rooms here are simple, spacious, and clean—they are set in three-story towers that surround the swimming pool. The rooms are decorated in light colors and have large windows that let in sunlight. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hot water shower and hair dryer; cable TV and wireless Internet also come standard. Hang up your clothes in the closet and lock away important items in the safety deposit box. All rooms have small balconies that look towards the Pacific Ocean, and some even have indoor Jacuzzi tubs where you can soak and relax.

In addition to the rooms, there are two-story bungalows that can hold 6–7 people. Each bungalow has a kitchen, dining room, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two terraces. These are a great option for larger groups and families.

A complimentary breakfast buffet is served in the onsite restaurant each morning—this is a convenient way to fuel up before heading out for the day. The restaurant, Wayra, is attractive and has big windows that look towards the ocean. Wayra offers a variety of local and international cuisine, including especially good seafood options.

There is a small swimming pool where guests can cool off and sunbathe—this is a nice place to relax if you don’t feel like taking a tour or exploring the coast. Hotel Emancipator also has ample parking for guests with cars.
