What Documents Do I Need To Visit Rwanda?
All visitors need a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond the intended departure date and at least two blank pages for stamps. Since 2018, Rwanda has allowed all nationalities to obtain a 30-day visa on arrival.

Rwanda offers several visa options. The most convenient is the e-visa, applied for online before travel through the official Rwanda immigration portal. The fee is $50 USD, and approval is typically received within a few days. Alternatively, visas can be obtained on arrival at Kigali International Airport for the same fee.
Citizens of East African Community countries (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, and DRC) can enter visa-free. Commonwealth citizens, including those from the UK, Australia, and Canada, receive free 30-day tourist visas on arrival.
For travelers planning to visit multiple countries, the East Africa Tourist Visa ($100 USD) allows multiple entries to Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda over 90 days, providing excellent value for regional exploration.
The 30-day tourist visa can be extended once for an additional 30 days at the Directorate General of Immigration in Kigali.
